Rene Marie Russo is an American actor, filmmaker, and former supermodel. Apart from her beautiful beauty, her continued success in the film industry is testament to her abilities as an actor. When she was a model in her early years, she began her career in the 1970s. She quickly became prominent in the modeling industry. The beginning of the next decade she studied acting and theatre prior to appearing on stage at Los Angeles and elsewhere in California. Russo made her debut on the screen on ABCs Sable drama series in 1987 as Eden Kendell. In her first film Major League two years after she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. Some critics who were initially skeptical by her acting skills but eventually redeemed themselves by her continuous performance. Her career began as an amateur fighter participating in regional competitions prior to signing to Invicta Fighting Championships and later joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Her success in and out of the Octagon has made her a household brand since she was a part of the UFC. Namajunas is born June 29, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose was a kickboxer and basketball player throughout her childhood. When she was 18 years old, she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships where she took two wins through submission. The fights caught the eye of Dana White who signed her to join UFC Strawweight on December 14, 2014, when she was just twenty-two years of age. Rose has experienced highs as well as she's also had lows in her career but always came to the winning. Rose defeated Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout after just three minutes of Round One. Rose was also named Fighter Of The Night and was a pioneer in the sport as it marked the first time women has ever been a fighter at a championship level with a major promoter worldwide. Namajunas was able to win several fights following her win which included defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk on two occasions. The win resulted in Namajunas Performance Of The Night recognition from UFC.
